about

Gabriyah Gadsby was born in Boston and currently attends the University of Maine in Orono, where she is pursuing a BFA with a concentration in Printmaking and a minor in Graphic Design. She is set to graduate in May of 2024. Gabriyah is passionate about creating art that reflects the human experience. She has exhibited in two group shows at Lord Hall Gallery at the University of Maine and in a solo show at the Blue Hill Coop in Blue Hill, Maine.

My art is a way for me to express parts of myself that I wouldn’t be able to through other means. I draw inspiration from personal experiences, emotions, and memories, as well as from the beauty, patterns, and abstractions of nature. I strive to take what is real and add my own unique twist to it. Magical realism, surrealism, growth, and change are ongoing themes that I explore. My work is characterized by significant attention to detail, which reflects my meticulous nature.
